Meles Zenawi’s VOA blacklist
Meles Zenawi’s VOA blacklist
This 42 pages confidential document, obtained by Addisvoice.com, is the basis of the Meles regime’s complaints against Voice of America, Amharic radio program, VOA-Amharic for providing a media platform to its critics.
The period covered in the document is from January 2011 to May 2011.
The document provides irrefutable evidence that the tyrannical regime in Ethiopia is out to silence every little voice of dissent and critical view. Meles Zenawi has used freedom of expression as a tool to identify his “enemies”.

The shocking truth about the ‘double-digit growth’
By Geletaw Zeleke, 21 June 2011 — Development is knowingly understood as a positive and desirable change. Whenever this kind of progress takes place in a given country it has a positive impact on the day to day lives of fellow citizens. Farmers, civil servants, businessmen and citizens as a whole will benefit from the much needed rain of development. The Ethiopian government has trumpeted rapid development since it has been in power. It claims to have achieved “double digit” growth over the last seven years even in the face of a worldwide recession. Full story
The kidnapping and torture of Captain Teshome Tenkolu
The kidnapping and torture of Captain Teshome TenkoluThis is a sad story about an Ethiopian Air Force officer, Captain Teshome Tenkolu, who was forced to spend two years in underground jails by the regime of the Tigrean Peoples Liberation Front (Woyanne). When he was released after two years, he was told that he is innocent and that his country needs him now. They asked him to return to the air force as a pilot, which gave him a chance to escape to a neighboring country with an air force plane. He is currently residing in a foreign country as a refugee. Fabrication of Ethiopian History Continues Unabated
Fabrication of Ethiopian History Continues Unabated
July 22, 2010 , Seyoum Gelaye, Professor
Ethiopia.org’s July 18, 2010 interview with Mr. Hassan Abdullahi- Ogaden Liberation Front’s (ONLF’s) Ethiopian Affairs, and Foreign Relations officer- is a good start. We trust that this dialogue will be perused further because Mr. Hassan was allowed to echo-unchallenged- Oromo Liberation Front’s (OLF’s), Eritrean Liberation Front’s (EPLF’s), and Tigri Liberation Front’s (TPLF’s) fictitious histories as his justification for Ogade’s Non-Ethiopianess by repeatedly pointing out article 39 (1) in TPLF’s constitution, which states, “Every Nation, Nationality and people in Ethiopia has an unconditional right to self-determination, including the right to secession.” Read more…
Ato Gebremedhin erects statue for himself
Ato Gebremedhin (formerly Aba Paulos, also commonly knows as Aba Diabilos), who claims to be the patriarch of Ethiopia, has just erected a massive statue for himself in the center of Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa. Aba Diabilos builds statue for himself — like Saddam Hussein — while ancient Ethiopian monasteries and churches are currently falling apart due to lack of funds. This is indeed one of the saddest moments in the history of Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
The following is a commentary regarding the statue and other developments in the Church.
